PETALUMA, Calif. --- Cal State Monterey Bay fell to #15 Sonoma State 4-2 Friday afternoon at Lucchesi Park in Petaluma. The Otters fall to 7-7-2 (4-5-2, CCAA) while the Seawolves move to an impressive 14-2-1 (12-0, CCAA) for the season.
CSUMB trailed 1-0 at halftime, as the Otters proved tough for the nationally ranked Seawolves. SSU broke the match open with two goals within a span of five minutes in the second half to take a 3-0 lead in the 58th minute of play.
#Kyle Satow# cut the lead to two off an assist from #Andy Breault# but SSU answered with their fourth goal in the 80th minute.
#Andrew Burkhammer# scored an unassisted goal at the 85:37 mark in a late Otters' rally. #Brenden Baca# recorded 6 saves for CSUMB.
The Otters' roadtrip continues north as CSUMB plays at Humboldt State Sunday afternoon in Arcata.
