SEASIDE, Calif. --- #Cheri Schwanke# scored the winning goal on a header off #Jessica Hendrick#'s corner kick in the 77th minute of play as Cal State Monterey Bay defeated the University of Hawaii-Hilo 2-1 Tuesday afternoon at the CSUMB soccer field.  The win improves Otters' record to 4-6-2 as the Vulcans fall to 8-6 on the year.

UHH's Vanessa Butin got the Vulcans on the board in the game's 10th minute to take an early 1-0 lead.  Butin's goal was double assisted by Kelly White and Cherise Lee.

CSUMB's #Eva Arzola# evened the score with a goal off an assist from #Loren Schofield# in the 37th minute going into halftime.

CSUMB had 4 shots on goal to 3 for the UHH. Goal keeper #Stacey Senkle# recorded 2 saves in 76 minutes of play for the Otters.

The Otters hit the road to Belmont tomorrow afternoon for a non conference match up with Notre Dame de Namur University.  Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
