[VIEW GAME RESULTS]

SEASIDE, Calif. --- Cal State Monterey Bay jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as the Otters defeated the University of Hawaii-Hilo by a score of 3-1 Tuesday afternoon at the CSUMB soccer field.  CSUMB moves to 7-6-2 on the season and UHH falls to 5-9.

CSUMB was on the attack early and #Andrew Burkhammer# netted the Otters first goal in the 10th minute off an assist from #Sean Kwasnicki#.  #Nate Torricelli# pushed the score to 2-0 with a goal in the 24th minute on an assist by #Randall Rigali#.

UHH's Andy Scott-Webster scored at the 30:18 mark to put the Vulcans on the board before the Otters' #Kevin Amaral# found the net off an assist from #Dexy Gaudoin# to make the score 3-1 going into halftime.

CSUMB held off UHH in the second half as the the Vulcans attempted seven shots compared to one for the  Otters in the period.  UHH had 4 shots on goal in the final period but CSUMB goal keepers #Sam Campanelli# and #Matt Lege# each recorded two saves to secure the win for the Otters.

CSUMB returns to road for CCAA matches at Sonoma State on Friday, Oct. 19th and Humboldt State on Sunday, Oct. 21st.
