Ways to Give
Check or Credit Card
Donors can give to CSUMB Athletics by check or by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover).

• To give via check, download this form in PDF format. Checks should be made payable to "University Corporation at Monterey Bay" and mailed to CSUMB Athletics c/o Otter Backers, 100 Campus Center, Seaside, CA 93955.
Matching Gifts
Matching gifts can be applied to the donor's Otter Backer giving level for benefit purposes. The percentage of the matching gift varies depending on the company's matching gift policy, and is not always a full 100% match. Any credit will be applied to donor's record on the date the matching gift form is received by CSUMB Athletics. Check this list of matching gift companies to see if your employer has a matching gift program.
Gifts in Kind
CSUMB Athletics accepts gifts in kind in cases where the gift offsets operational or budgetary needs. All gifts in kind must be approved by CSUMB Athletics prior to being made.
Stock Gifts
All stock gifts are handled by University Advancement. Donors interested in giving stock should contact the CSUMB Athletics office first at (831) 582-3051. Athletics will put donors in contact with University Advancement to receive the correct instructions for the donor's broker. Notifying Athletics first ensures the donation is credited to the correct Otter Backer account, the donor receives the correct benefits and acknowledgment due, and the donation is deposited in the donor's desired fund.
