Became an even more integral part of the Otter defense as junior, appearing in 85 of 95 sets.
Notched career high with 22 aces.
Topped 100 digs (121) for second consecutive season.
Double–digit digs 3 times, including a season–high 12 in a sweep at San Francisco State (Oct. 4).
Matched career high with 4 aces at Chico State (Oct. 14).

Played in 63 of 97 sets.
Collected a career–high 143 digs.
Posted double–digit digs in 7 matches.
Matched career high of 18 digs at Cal State Dominguez Hills (Oct. 6) and vs. Chico State (Oct. 14).
Served a career–high 4 aces in the Chico State match (Oct. 14).

Saw action in 18 matches as a freshman.

High School

Earned All–3A Greater St. Helens League honors as a libero in 2014 when she averaged 3.1 digs per set for Columbia River HS.
Helped the Chieftains earn three consecutive Top 10 finishes in the Washington high school state tournament, including a third place finish in 2014.
Had 41 digs in the state championship Final Four over 7 sets (5.9 dps).
Finished her club career with the Northwest Reign top 18s team.
Also played for Fire VBC and Athena Volleyball Academy.
Has as enjoyed a successful beach career.

Personal

Alá (ah LET yah) is majoring in kinesiology at CSUMB.
Plans to attend grad school to be a P.A.
Career goal is to become a physical therapist working with athletes.
A member of the dean’s list at CSUMB as a freshman.
A CCAA and D2 ADA All–Academic team member in 2016 and 2017.
An outstanding student, she is a member of both the National Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa.
A 2–time Washington State Interscholastic Achievement Award winner.
Is a native of Costa Mesa, Calif.
Parents are Sarah Carson and Michael Olson.
