The Otter Backers Club is back, re-imagined to align with a new era of Cal State Monterey Bay Athletics. As the primary annual fundraising arm of the department, Otter Backers fuels the continued growth and success of our 300 NCAA Division II student-athletes.
This renewed model reflects a clear commitment to build a sustainable, community-driven foundation that elevates the full student-athlete experience. Gifts directly support scholarships, team travel, equipment, sports medicine resources, and championship opportunities.
From Monte’s entry level to the Legacy Scholarship Circle, which funds a full year of tuition and fees for a student-athlete, every gift creates measurable impact.
