WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Cal State Monterey Bay's #Hayley Tharp# was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association's (CCAA) Female Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of Aug. 30 - Sep. 5, it was announced on Monday.
Tharp, a junior from San Jose, Calif., placed 26th at the season-opening Notre Dame de Namur Invitational. She finished the six-kilometer race in a time of 20:55 to help the Otters to a sixth-place showing in the nine-team event.
The Otters next compete in the Mills College Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 18 in Oakland.
