SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team will travel to Arcata for the first round of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) tournament. The Otters will play Humboldt State on Tuesday, Mar. 2 at Lumberjack Arena at 5:30 p.m.

CSUMB finished tied for fourth in the CCAA standings but lost the tiebreaker with the Lumberjacks and will be the No. 5 seed in the tournament.

In their last meeting, the Otters pulled out a 73-59 victory over the Lumberjacks on Feb. 6 in Arcata.  Junior #LaShawn Johnson# scored a career-high 23 points, 16 in the second half to lead the Otters.  Junior #Julie Heurung# nabbed her first double-double of the season with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

This will be the program's first post-season appearance since CSUMB became a full member of the CCAA in 2006-07. The Otters have accomplished numerous program achievements including best regular season overall record (18-8) and best conference record (14-8).
