WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – #Gabe Glass#, a freshman defender on the Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team, has been named a 2009 All-California Collegiate Athletic Association performer.
Glass, a product of Jesuit High School in Sacramento, was named to the conference's honorable mention.
"Gabe had a very good year and I expect him to build on this honor in the future," said head coach #Artie Cairel#.
Glass scored three goals after only taking three shots on goal in his first collegiate season. He knocked in the game-winning goal in CSUMB's conference opener against Cal State East Bay on Sept. 11 in Hayward. Glass stepped up to the plate again on Oct. 4, recording his second game-winning goal in the 2-0 shutout over Cal State Stanislaus.
