SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay cross country teams competed in the San Francisco State Invitational on Friday, October 10 in Golden Gat Park. The men finished in 8th place while the women captured 11th place.
Senior
Eder Tostado led the pack for the men, completing the eight kilometer course in 27:01 for a 23rd place finish. Senior Omar Medoza snared a top 30 finish with a time of 27:29.
Also representing CSUMB was sophomore
Vincent Carr (54th, 29:24), junior
Vincent Delgado (59th, 31:25) and freshman
Travis Nelson (61st, 32:34).
In the six kilometer race, the women’s team was led by freshman Tabbitha Bailey with a time of 26:32 (72nd).
Following behind Bailey was sophomore
Marie Beard and freshman
Hayley Tharp, who finished 73rd (26:36) and 75th (26:42) respectively. Rounding out the top five for the Otters were sophomores
Keri Zaro (82nd, 26:59) and
Chi Tran (84th, 27:10).
Next up for the Otters is the CCAA Championships on October 25 in San Bernardino, Calif.
