Cal State Monterey Bay Athletics conducts the Otter Alumni Challenge annually to strengthen our connection with student–athlete alumni while growing financial support for current Otter student–athletes.

Each of CSUMB's 14 teams is challenged to engage its alumni with the aim of increasing both alumni participation and general financial support for current Otter student–athletes. All funds raised by each team will remain within their program for both scholarship and program needs. The team with the largest percentage of alumni participation at the end of the week will receive a bonus contribution to their program.

Since the first challenge campaign in 2020, your Otters have raised over $70,000 and connected with 1,100 alumni and supporters who accepted the challenge to support student-athlete success through the Alumni Challenge campaign.

• 2021 - $10,385 (344 donors)
• 2020 - $14,629 (235 donors)
